Mixed use schemes are a popular means of delivering town centre regeneration.  They encourage participation across the business sector and often include residential elements that can sustain the local economy in the long term.  Such schemes typically include retail, office and hotel space.  Larger schemes will also include residential flats, dedicated car parking often at basement level and leisure complexes.
